March 2010

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my website! I hope you have enjoyed looking around the site and seeing my website ability and my portfolio. It has been fun to learn a new skill and to research a little more about the medium of the Internet.

At Brigham Young University – Idaho we focus on a value-based education where we keep and build our morals and ethics. I have been able to implement these values with participating in i~Comm Student Media for the past 2 years. As a current Account Executive for i~Comm, I have been able to learn and develop leadership skills to help lead my team of creatives honestly and with integrity. I have also been able to be in contact with real clients that we’ve done actual work for them. This has allowed me to learn how different people think and how to interact with clients. This has been something that you cannot learn in a classroom.

One of the skills that I learned with the Internet and including this website was using Google’s search engine. As of March 2010 the search for “Robert Bucker” was #2 top pick. I was able to achieve this by including my name in all my pages as much as I could without being strange or apparent. If you found this page via Google, you have proven my point, if you found this page another means, you might want to check out the Google search.

Another aspect that I have learned at Brigham Young University – Idaho is the aspect of goal-setting and hard work. One goal that I set my eyes on was to achieve a 4.0 in a semester. I knew this goal required to pay more attention in class than my peers, to stay up a little later in the evenings completing and understanding my homework assignments, and sacrifice some weekends to homework. I was able to achieve this goal and learn the value of goal setting. I know with your company I will implicate goal-setting into the work. I will not be satisfied with ‘skimming the surface.’ I will not be satisfied with ‘getting by’ or even ‘being an OK’ employee. I have in my past and will in my future work the best that I can and achieve a ‘4.0’ with your company.

I am more than willing to respond back to you from my contact page. I do my best to respond back to your e-mail within 48 hours. Thank you again for visiting my site and I hope you have enjoyed it.

Sincerely,

Robert Bucker
