#8 Top Spokesperson Who Have Come and Gone: The King
April 1, 2011 No Comments
Have you ever heard that you can only make a first impression once? The saying, although true, doesn’t mean you have to keep that first impression.
Enter The King. His very first ad with him waking up in bed with another guy was quite creepy. Some folks believed that Burger King was hinting at something else instead of breakfast in the morning. The King even received the title as “The Creepy King.”
But over time something changed.
The King started to be funny. Although he didn’t talk you knew he wanted to help you out. Sure, he started off on the wrong foot by waking up on the wrong side of the bed (any side of the bed was wrong in this instance), so he started to give people more money. He began to put money into people’s pocket. Again, not the most conventional way to save money but is a funny and creative way to reach the young male target audience.
What fate does The King have with the firing of Crispin Porter is unsure for now, but with speculation that I suspect that he will be gone.
With his creepy introduction and yet is able to stay the face of Burger King, this gives The King #8 on the top spokesperson who has come and gone.
